homesick, This is what is wrong with the healthcare in this country. What has happened to basic rights? Well, I agree with Lady, please get hold of the financial department at the hospital or go one step above that and get hold of the administration of the hospital. Something just doesn't seem right--not with your story but the hospital itself. I have had hospital bills in the past when i didnt have coverage and i was able to set up payment plans, but that's here.

no we were offered a settlement price of half if we could pay in full. Whittier hosp was not to kind to hearing what we had to say they attempted to get half the total in full 2 times then gave it to a collection company with 4 months that to us was nott enough time the collection company made no deals no payment plans they are untalkable they only contacted us about 3 times then we got served all this within 7 months of the accident

The hospital won't let you go on a payment plan? I haven't had insurance for years and have a chronic medical illness... So I have to go to regular hospital visits. They either let me pay a reduced fee or I get a payment plan option. I would speak to someone at the hospital about it, let them know the situation... I can't speak for the hospitals in your area, but the ones around here are very helpful and generous... I hope something can be worked out. I wish I could help more, but I am also in a situation myself. I'm sorry.

I am hoping someone that can help will read this....we for the first time really need help with a hospital bill that is threating our home we can not pay it in full alone and have no family to help and work is slow my husband is a painting contractor we are trying but cant come close please help

My husband was hospitalized last year dur to a auto accident AAA did not cover medical we tried to explain to hospital we could not pay the bill in full 7800 he was not able to work for almost 3 months our saving was gone to rent and staying alive with home bills now they served us with papers saying they want 7800 in full we are stuck please anything will help we are scared we will loose everything well like ouor home on lien due to a hospital bill
